An SPC Free Zone licence through SwiftHub starts at AED 4,999. SPC publishes its own starting price of AED 5,750 for e-commerce, publishing or media, which means our entry package sits below the zone's own advertised rate. That is checkable in about ten seconds, which is the only reason it is worth saying.

The price is not the interesting part of SPC. The visa position is.

No cap on visas, and what that actually costs

SPC states there is no cap on visas per licence. In most free zones your visa quota is tied to the office or desk you lease, so growing the team means upgrading the facility first. Where that link is broken, hiring stops being a property decision.

No cap does not mean no costThis is the single most misread fact about SPC, and it is misread in the zone's favour. No ceiling on how many people you can sponsor is not the same as sponsoring them cheaply. Each person is a separate immigration file with its own government charges and its own steps, whether they are your first hire or your fifteenth.

Our per-person fees are AED 200 for typing, AED 300 for unemployment insurance, AED 300 for portal access and health cover from AED 500. Those are ours. The entry permit, status change, medical and Emirates ID are government charges billed at cost, and they are the larger half. The cost calculator totals our side for any visa count.

The first two lines are different kinds of fact and should not be added together. One is what the zone advertises; the other is what we charge.

Five working days, and what that means

SPC quotes UAE residency in five working days. Treat that as a processing target once your documents are clean and you are in the country for the medical and Emirates ID steps. It is not a promise that covers the distance from first enquiry to Emirates ID in hand, and a consultancy quoting it as though it were is selling you a timeline it does not control.

Who SPC suits

  • Teams that will grow. The visa position is worth real money by your fourth or fifth hire.
  • E-commerce, publishing and media, which is where the published rate applies and where the activity list is deepest.
  • Anyone comparing on total cost rather than headline price, because a zone that ties visas to premises can cost more at scale while advertising less.

It suits you less if you need a Dubai address for client reasons (IFZA's cost guide covers that trade), or if you need warehousing (RAKEZ is the one with facilities).

Renewal

Annual licence, two-year visa cycle. SPC publishes its setup pricing but not a renewal schedule. Ask for the renewal number in writing before year one. Ajman Media City is the zone in our range that publishes renewals next to setup prices, which makes year two knowable rather than negotiable.

Tax

An SPC company registers for corporate tax and files like any other. The 0% rate for a Qualifying Free Zone Person applies to qualifying income rather than to the company, and the conditions are specific — see what qualifying income really means. If your revenue is under AED 3 million, Small Business Relief may be the better route, and the two are alternatives rather than a stack.
